Mung beans can be mixed with other seeds and grains to make sprouted or cooked food, which is readily accepted by those birds that are used to such food. Sprouted feed can also be prepared from mung beans. These seeds can therefore be found in many sprouted feed mixtures available in specialist shops. They are extremely healthy for birds, but their high protein content can stimulate the breeding instinct.
