Sudhoff travel plan – Jungreise
Sudhoff travel plan – Jungreise
The regeneration of young pigeons is significantly faster than that of older pigeons. Racing times are usually less than three hours. Training in the house will become increasingly longer if the youngsters only fly once a day.
The high amount of food after training allows the birds to fully recover from training. The fat feeding twelve hours later fills the energy tank without over-saturating. Another twelve hours later, the juveniles are ready for voluntary, extended and vigorous training.
The goal of keeping young birds fully focused on their free flight training throughout the season requires consistent training.
Young birds must be given free flight every day, even if the weather at the end of the season is rainy. The darkened young birds in particular require regular training. Focused training also includes avoiding unnecessary distraction, as is possible by spending time in aviaries
and large sputniks. Only by consistently implementing these few instructions and focusing the young birds on the journey will you achieve the best results on the young bird journey, even without constant “driving”.
