Pigeon Vitality Recup Free-Amino-Acids 300g
Free amino acids as a feed supplement for the rapid recovery of racing pigeons after a flight have many advantages compared to protein powders:
Faster recording and use :
Free amino acids are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream and immediately provide the building blocks for Muscle repair and growth without the need for digestion. Unlike protein powders, which require time and energy to be broken down into usable forms, they require time and energy.
Reduced digestive load :
After a flight, the pigeon’s body is stressed and its digestive system may not function optimally. Free amino acids, which require minimal digestion, reduce the strain on the pigeon’s digestive system so that more energy is available for recovery and muscle regeneration.
Specific amino acid targeting :
Free amino acid supplements allow the amino acid profile to be adapted to the specific recovery needs of the pigeons after the flight. Examples of this are those that lack grain – such as L-methionine and L-lysine. Protein powders are rich in amino acids, but often have fixed ratios that may not optimally support the pigeons’ recovery needs.
Improved muscle regeneration :
The direct availability of essential amino acids supports faster and more efficient muscle recovery, which is crucial for the repair of muscle damage caused by intense physical exertion during races.
Improved performance over time :
With faster recovery times and the ability to rebuild and strengthen muscles quickly, pigeons can perform better in subsequent races.
Support for the health of the feathers :
Certain amino acids are crucial for plumage health and regeneration and are important for the aerodynamics and overall condition of racing pigeons. Balanced free amino acid supplements can provide these specific amino acids for feather synthesis and repair.
Reduced ammonia production Protein powders produce more ammonia during digestion and metabolism, a by-product that can be toxic and requires energy to excrete. Free amino acids that are absorbed directly can lead to less ammonia production, reducing potential toxicity and saving energy for recovery and detoxification processes.
These benefits are the reason for the introduction of RECUP Free-Amino-Acids to aid the rapid recovery of racing pigeons. We are convinced that free amino acids offer a more efficient and targeted approach to recovery and overall performance enhancement of racing pigeons when administered in the hours and possibly one to two days after strenuous flights, compared to conventional protein powders. Note, however, that a balanced, fat and protein enriched grain mix is recommended in the days following strenuous flights – also in line with grain suppliers’ recommendations.
Application: Add to feed after the flight – 1 tablespoon (8-10 grams) per kilo of feed. For heavy races/long distance races also feed in the afternoon and the day after return.
For optimal regeneration, we recommend moistening the grain with omega-3 oil, as it has a high content of omega-3 fatty acids and natural vitamin E. We also recommend adding RECUP Free-Amino-Acids together with RECUP Oxy+ (natural flavonoids and antioxidants) and Progut (prebiotics) to the moistened grain.
RECUP Free-Amino-Acids is also beneficial for breeding pigeons with young pigeons in the nest and for pigeons in the moulting season.
