Quiko Classic egg food is a high-quality concentrate and rearing food for all ornamental bird species such as canaries, woodland birds, exotic birds, budgerigars, large parakeets and parrots. Quiko Classic egg food contains nutrients that young and adult birds need during breeding and moulting. The specially baked cookie with a high egg content is a source of protein for young birds. Quiko Classic can be given all year round as a condition feed. The combination of egg cookie, honey and vitamins in Quiko Classic supports breeding and show results both during rearing and during the moulting and show period. When rearing woodland birds, it is advisable to supplement the egg food with animal protein (e.g. pinkies, buffalo worms or mealworms). A varied diet is particularly important to keep your birds healthy. Grain food contains little protein and essential vitamins. Pelleted and heated food offers no variety and is not very popular with birds. Therefore, supplement the conventional food with Quiko egg food to increase the protein and vitamin intake. As most birds eat the egg food first, it is ideal for mixing in vitamins or medication if required. Application: During the breeding period, Quiko Classic should be fed daily and slightly moistened. During the exhibition and moulting period, Quiko Classic is given 2 to 3 times a week as a condition feed.
TIP! To keep the egg feed moist throughout the day, we recommend adding moistened Quiko Rusk. Due to the higher vitamin D3 content compared to complete feeds, Quiko Classic may only make up to 25% of the daily ration.
