Röhnfried Fatbooster

Oils have traditionally been used as a fat supplement. Since this year, however, insect fat has been available to us as a raw material for a health-promoting alternative. This insect fat offers many advantages: It contains a high amount of unsaturated fatty acids, especially omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which have health-promoting effects. Insect fat also contains valuable antioxidants. The composition of insect fat includes a balanced mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. Lauric acid is an important saturated fatty acid in insect fat and is known for its antimicrobial properties. It can ward off harmful microorganisms such as bacteria (gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus), viruses and fungi and supports the immune system through its effect. As a medium-chain fatty acid, lauric acid is also easily digestible and a readily available source of energy.

The unsaturated fatty acids in insect fat include monounsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid, as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids, including linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid that is indispensable for the body and must be obtained from the diet. It supports the cell structure and regulates inflammatory processes. Insect fat mixed with oregano oil, salmon oil and aniseed oil is particularly suitable as a versatile supplement before the race. It is excellently absorbed by the pigeons and due to the antimicrobial properties of lauric acid and the multiple health benefits of omega-6 and omega-3, insect fat supports the immune system and can regulate inflammation.
